Panthers Women’s Team

The Halifax Panthers women’s team have been working hard the last few months through preseason!

With Amy Hardcastle leading the coaching alongside some of her international and super league team mates Shona Hoyle and Caitlin Casey, she had this to say:

‘It has been great having Caitlin Casey joining myself at training. She brings her youth and talent into our sessions by supporting core skills and has been working one on one with the pivots. She brings lots of fun to the sessions and it’s great to see her mixing well with the girls”.

“Really grateful for Shona to come down and support our forwards with some ruck play and positional work. The girls really enjoyed having her energy and experience there. We look forward to having her down again in the next couple of week”.

“The team have been working hard on set plays, individual positions and defensive work. I am really impressed with their consistency in training and commitment already. I am excited to see all their hard work transition into the season”.

Casey has been putting the players through their paces and showing them her top class skills and knowledge, she shared her thoughts on her experience with the team.

“I’ve been in and around training the last couple of months and seen big improvements from the girls. Been really impressed by the core skills on show and there is real potential for the team to go far. It seems like a really positive environment, you can see it through how the girls engage in the sessions and want to learn. Excited to see how they go in 2024” Casey had to say as she beamed with excitement for what the forthcoming season had in store for the team”.

Hoyle worked with the forwards and ensured they had her insight into world class strength and line running, she shared her thoughts,

‘“First time I met the players I was really impressed with their skill and work ethic. I predominantly worked with the forwards around the ruck and they picked it up really well. Looking forward to seeing the girls again and how they progress”

With international and super league standard coaching the players have been definitely working hard, and the atmosphere couldn’t be more electric and exciting!
